Annual Dinner and AGM

On 17 November 2016 we held our first AGM and annual dinner at Hotel du Vin in Bristol.

The evening was a busy one - Acting Secretary Gemma Pouncy gave a run-down of the group's activities in 2016, which included:

• Relaunch in December 2015
• Inaugural drinks event at Veale Wasbrough Vizards, Bristol in February
• Alumni Office event with Professor Irene Tracey in May 2016
• Debate on the EU Referendum at Royal High School, Bath in June 2016
• Launch of www.oxford-bristolbath.org in August 2016
• Meet and greet for local freshers in Bath in September 2016
• Liaising with local schools, and giving mock interviews to prospective university applicants

We then ratified the group's constitution and (in what was possibly – or possibly not – the most hotly debated election of November 2016!) held our first elections for the committee.  Please click here to see the members of the new committee.

There followed plenty of time to meet, chat and enjoy a wonderful three course meal.

Thank you to everybody who joined us, and for all of the ongoing support from members and committee alike.  In all of the excitement, we forgot to take any pictures so if you have any photographs of the event which you would like to share, please email them over!  We hope that you enjoyed the evening, and look forward to seeing you at another event soon.

OUSoc Bristol and Bath members and guests are invited to join us for our first annual dinner and AGM at the beautiful Grade II listed former sugar warehouses of Hotel du Vin.

The ticket price will include a three course meal and coffee at Hotel du Vin, with an opportunity to mingle with old friends and new both prior to, and over dinner.  There will be a cash bar available, both before and during dinner.

We will also give a brief overview of the group's activities in 2016 and vote for the new committee going forwards.
